Common problems
The analysis or preparation is slow
Local models on modest hardware take longer on long documents, and describing pictures with a slow Vision model adds to preparation (Cancel in the status bar stops it). Free cloud tiers are rate-limited; DocReview waits and shows when it will continue.
“Model cooling down” or “daily limit reached”
Your provider's limits were reached. Wait, choose another model in the model selector, or upgrade the key.
“Could not start the analysis”
Update to the latest version (Help → Check for updates). If it persists, use Report a problem.
A model test fails with 401 or “Missing Authentication”
The provider needs a key: add or replace it in Settings → Providers.
Word files do not open
LibreOffice is missing or does not start; see Word support.
Is my model good enough?
Settings → Models → Check this model.
Reporting a problem
Help → Report a problem. Describe what happened, add your e-mail if you want a reply, and choose how much to include:
| Level | What is sent |
|---|---|
| Basic | Your description, the app version and your operating system. |
| Standard (recommended) | Plus the model names, the last run log and your settings, with document text, file names and API keys removed. |
| With excerpts | Plus the full run log, which can quote passages of your document. |
| With the document | Plus one document, as it is, so we can reproduce the problem. |
Review what will be sent shows every file before anything leaves your computer, and Send sends exactly that. The two top levels need you to tick a consent box, and we delete those reports 90 days after they arrive.

What data the app sends
Every payload in one table — what leaves your computer, when it leaves, where it goes and how to turn it off: What data the app sends. It covers your model provider, web search, the telemetry levels, problem reports and comment reports, Debug mode, update checks, the LibreOffice download and licence activation.
Where your settings live
In your user profile (Windows: %APPDATA%\Automatos DocReview; macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Automatos DocReview; Linux: ~/.local/share/automatos-docreview). Updates and reinstalls keep them.
